Pogba’s agent scolds Scholes for Twitter and hints at his departure from Manchester United

Paul Pogba’s manager, Mino Raiola, has raised rumors that the athlete may be leaving Manchester United. The agent insinuated on Tuesday that the Russia World Cup champion with France would have no problem finding another team if he left the English team by answering Paul Scholes, the historic idol of the greatest English champion.

Paul Scholes had criticized Paul Pogba’s performance in Manchester United’s 3-2 defeat at Brighton on Sunday.

Mino Raiola then mocked him on Twitter. “Some people need to talk about being afraid of being forgotten. Paul Scholes would not recognize a leader even if he was in front of Winston Churchill,” he said, referring to the prime minister of England during World War II.

Then the agent was even more direct against the former player, mentioning his client. “Paul Scholes should become sports director and advise Woodward to sell Pogba. It would be sleepless nights trying to find a new team for Pogba,” he wrote sarcastically. Ed Woodward is the executive director of Manchester United.

In the English press, the rumor circulates that Paul Pogba would be dissatisfied with the Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho and would like to leave Manchester United to join Barcelona. The English window for hirings is already closed, but exits to other European countries may still occur.

Mino Raiola is known for forcing transfers from athletes who agency to take profits, feeding rumors in the press and often conflicting with the clubs where they play. Shortly before the 2017/2018 season, he was embroiled in controversy over the renovation of goalkeeper Donnarumma with Milan. Other athletes, like Slovakian Marek Hamsik and Czech Pavel Nedved, stopped working with Raiola for not agreeing with the way the agent conducts business.
