EPL: Manchester City thrash Southampton 6-1



Manchester City moved to the top of the Premier League on Sunday after beating Southampton 6-1 in a 1-1 draw at City of Manchester. The goals of the home team were scored by Aguero, Sterling twice, David Silva, Sané and Hoedt against. Ings took the visitors’ throw from the penalty box.

With the win, Pep Guardiola’s team reached 29 points, gaining a two-point advantage over Liverpool, who ended up only leveling in the round. Southampton continue with seven points and remains in 16th place.

Next week, citizens make the Manchester City classic against rival United. The match takes place next Sunday. Sothampton hosts Watford on Saturday.

The goal served well to calm the game that was already set. In the remaining minutes, the citizens exchanged the ball well and managed the time passing. It was still time for Sané to score in extra time beating from outside the area after a four-on-three counter-attack.
